Walker Cable Assembly Services is an extension of our customer. We take this serious. Resources are applied wherever needed and feasible to ensure a successful outcome and satisfied customer. Some assembly providers build widgets - we build value.
Pre-production services can include:
- needs assessment and analysis by Project Managers and Solutions Coordinators that include business and product needs
- production and plant visits and orientations
- document review and improvements, by our component, electronics and CAD technicians
- quotes prepared by our pricing experts that include recommended component equivalents and alternative sources
- production set up and systems prepared by our Operations Manager and team
- testing processes and specs prepared by our Quality Control Manager and QC team
Production services can include:
- first article or sample build for customer testing and approval by our head technicians
- work-in-process (WIP) tracking and testing by our Production and Quality Control teams
- efficiency review and improvements by our Production team
- work-in-process (WIP) and final product quality inspections, sample testing (IQL) or 100% by Quality Control team
- certifying shipments by the customer; may include UL, CSA, RoHS, mil spec compliance, among others
- batch and lot tracking records by our Production and Shipping experts
- ongoing replenishment programs to meet the unique needs of the individual customers are engaged
- Kaizen, 1-piece-flow, and custom production processes and systems
Post-production services can include:
- standard or custom labeling and packaging; individual pieces or bulk; bar coding available
- kitting
- production and inventory management systems such as VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory), Kanban, 5S, Dock-to-Stock, pull systems, finished goods safety stock and custom replenishment programs
- shipping and delivery; and, possible local delivery
